All applications for registration in the General Scope are assessed against the Physiotherapy Practice Thresholds in Australia and Aotearoa | New Zealand.
Some international qualifications have been reviewed by the Board | te Poari and assessed as meeting the criteria for Fast Track International General assessment. The Board | te Poari has assessed these qualifications and identified the Key Competencies in the Physiotherapy Practice Thresholds that we require specific additional evidence for.
Who can apply?
The following qualifications are currently being assessed under the Fast Track pathway:
- Fiji National University – qualifications from 2013 onwards
- Hong Kong SAR – physiotherapy degrees granted in Hong Kong SAR since 2015
How do I apply?
Depending on the qualification, the Board | te Poari has prescribed specific evidence that must be supplied for a Fast Track application.
To apply, use the General Pathway application process. We will identify eligible degrees and contact you to confirm your eligibility and seek the evidence required to expedite your application.
What evidence is required?
The prescribed evidence will differ, depending on your qualification. Please see the template below that is connected to your qualification. You can start to prepare this now, so that you have this ready to submit when it is requested.
