This month the Board te Poari welcomes two new Ministerial appointments to the Board te Poari: layperson Martine Abel‐Williamson QSM and physiotherapist Kore Tombs.
Martine comes to the Board te Poari with more than 25 years of experience in the disability space as an advocate and advisor including as a Senior Human Rights Advisor at the Human Rights Commission/Te Kahui Tika Tangata and President of the World Blind Union.
Kore has worked as a physiotherapist for close to three decades, teaches courses through the Mental Health Education & Resource Centre and has consulted on projects for both Physiotherapy New Zealand and the Board te Poari.
The Board te Poari looks forward to Martine and Kore joining the Board and the experience and perspectives they bring.
