The Board | te Poari has approved a new Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (the Code).
This significant change to the rules governing practitioners' conduct took effect on 1 April 2026. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the changes using the resources in this section.

The Board | te Poari has substantially revised the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (the Code). This is a significant part of the Standards Framework and legislates the requirements for practitioners’ conduct.

This updated Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (the Code) will come into effect as secondary legislation governing Aotearoa New Zealand registered physiotherapists on 1 April 2026.
