The Physiotherapy Board is calling for Expressions of Interest in joining its Health Committee. There are currently two vacancies, one for a lay member, and one for a Registered Physiotherapist.
The Physiotherapy Board is a Responsible Authority established under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCAA) 2003. The principle purpose of this Act is to protect the health and safety of members of the public by providing mechanisms to ensure that health practitioners are competent and fit to practice.

Applicants will ideally have an appreciation and background in mental health service provision; possess relevant experience in health governance; have an understanding of the HPCAA; and be of unquestionable integrity and honesty.
The Committee meets no less than three times per year – remuneration is based on meeting attendance, with travel expenses to Wellington covered.
