Introduction
The physiotherapy standards framework (the Framework) provides the core regulation for Aotearoa New Zealand registers physiotherapists. The Framework and it’s component parts are secondary legislation and practitioners are required to comply with them.
The Board | te Poari regularly reviews and updates the elements of the Framework to ensure that the represent current practice and expectations. This process includes consultation with the profession and this consultation often prompts further improvements to the Framework.
Understanding the Framework and incorporating it into practice is one of the most important things practitioners can do to ensure they are practicing in line with the law. The Board | te Poari welcomes feedback and questions about the Framework. Just get in touch via [email protected]

- The Aotearoa New Zealand Physiotherapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (The Code)
