The Board welcomes Aotearoa New Zealand’s newest Specialist scope physiotherapist – Sarah Betteridge.

The Board | te Poari welcomed members of two new committees recently with Mihi whakatau – the Māori Committee (pictures left) and the Pacific Peoples Committee.

We caught up with our newest Advanced Practise Physiotherapist (APP), Shane Finn, to talk about his thoughts on physiotherapy, his journey to APP and his advice to other physiotherapists looking at applying for the scope.

For Dr Margot Skinner, being recognised as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the New Year Honours was both a personal honour and a recognition of the importance of physiotherapy as a profession.

Practising physiotherapy has brought Kate Ward halfway around the world, into business ownership and management, through a master’s degree, and now into becoming just the third practitioner to be registered into the scope of Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP).
